MANILA, Philippines — Adamson cruised past Fart Eastern University 25-18, 25-18, 25-14 to forge a tie in second place in the 75th UAAP women’s volleyball tournament at the Arena in San Juan.
Sheila Pineda led the Lady Falcons anew with 15 points while veteran Pau Soriano turned in 12 markers in their squad’s third win.
“Maganda ang first ball namin atsaka yung transition at konti errors namin sa service,” said rookie head coach Sherwin Meneses, who replaced long-time mentor Dulce Pante this season.
“Masaya kami kasi maganda ang simula namin at naka-recover kami sa pagkatalo sa La Salle (last week),” he added as Adamson joined La Salle with 3-1 card.
Rosemarie Vargas had 10 points for FEU, who absorbed their second straight setback.
The Lady Tamaraws dropped to 1-3, tied with University of the Philippines, and just ahead of cellar-dweller University of the East.
