NEW YORK – Milwaukee Bucks big man Joel Przybilla was suspended for one game by the NBA on Sunday for throwing a basketball and hitting a referee.

The incident took place with 96 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter of Milwaukee’s 111-85 home loss to the Los Angeles Clippers on Saturday.

The 7-foot-1 (2.16-meter) reserve center will miss Tuesday’s Milwaukee home game against Indiana. He will eligible to return the following night when the Bucks visit Memphis.

Przybilla has career averages of 3.9 points, 6.2 rebounds and 1.4 blocked shots a game over 13 NBA seasons with Milwaukee, Atlanta, Portland and Charlotte.

At 12-10, the Bucks are level with Indiana for second in the Central division, both one game behind the Chicago Bulls. The Bucks have not reached the playoffs since 2006 and have not won a playoff series since 2001.
