JAN GODFREY Seno whipped Justin Prulla, 6-2, 6-0, to capture the boys 14-under title before teaming up with Luke Flores to annex the boys doubles crown in the Philippine Sports Commission-Philippine Tennis Association age-group tennis Championships at Rizal Memorial Tennis Center yesterday.
Seno joined Flores in downing Brysl Libao and Sohaimen Mama, 6-2, 6-1, to pocket his second title in the event that caps the age-group tennis season.
Seno earned 350 ranking points for the double, which should shoot up his standings in the national rankings.
Stefan Suarez toppled top seed Marcen Gonzales, 7-5, 6-1, to arrange a final showdown for the boys 16-under crown with Betto Orendain, who downed Daniel Villasenor, 6-2, 6-1.
Mikaela Vicencio downed Alexandra Eala, 6-3, 6-2, to barge into the finals of the girls 12-under against fourth seed Bettine Bautista, a 6-2, 6-2 victor over Ghia Sagandoy.
Top seed Miko Eala also set his sights for another title as he ousted Marcus Del Rosario, 6-4, 6-2. Marc Anthony Reyes
