THE NATIONAL Cockers Alliance (NCA) hosts its maiden derby of the season on Tuesday at Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig.
Hosts Rene Medina and Bebot Uy invited guest cockers to compete with regular NCA members.
The cockers’ group said entries must come from the same owner or farm and fielded in the derby under the same entry name (maximum of four entries) to ensure fair play and transparency.
No entry shall have more than two weights within the ranges of 1.9 kilograms to 1.95 kg and 2.4 kg to 2.45 kg in the derby sponsored by Sagupaan Complexor.
Meanwhile, the entry “Jade Resort 2” of Arman Santos and “GCT Tiffany” of Danny Teves shared the championship of the Dec. 18, 2012 derby, hosted by Mayor Elan Nagaño and Mayor Bebot Joson, with 5 points each.
“CPB AAO” of Rep. Claude Bautista, “Mulawin” of Rep. Rudy Albano, and “Firefly 13” of Ernie Austria tied for second place with 4 points each.
In third place was “Boy 2 Hacienda” of Boy Valenzuela with 3.5 points.
The NCA is also preparing for its next big event, the World Championship Derby (WCD), slated Jan. 15, 17, and 19 at the same venue. The WCD will see top Filipino and American breeders battling for supremacy anew.
