Toby’s volley: Hope battles St. Joseph

HOPE Christian High School clashes with St. Joseph College as action in the Toby’s Junior Volleyball League resumes today at Quorum Sports Arena in Pasig City.

The Hope tossers, who toppled De La Salle-Lipa B, 25-12, 25-14, last Dec. 9, are favored against St, Joseph in their 10 a.m. clash in Girls A. The game opens a heavy six-game bill and a weekend of top notch volley action with five more matches set tomorrow.

MGC New Life Christian Academy, meanwhile, goes for its second win in three games as it battles DLS-Zobel (0-1) at 11 a.m. in Girls B of the event sponsored by Toby’s Sports, Shakey’s Pizza and Mikasa and organized by Metro Sports.

SJC, meanwhile, debuts in the boys division as it plays winless Rafael Palma Elementary School at 1 p.m. while De La Salle-Lipa shoots for its fourth win in row against Oranbo Elementary School at 2 p.m.

St. Joseph returns to the court at 3 p.m. to battle Academy of God’s Children while De La Salle-Lipa caps its two-game assignment against Rafael Palma ES in the 4 p.m. main game.
