Globe joins Avon’s breast cancer tour

GLOBE Telecom is at one with Avon in its breast cancer awareness campaign as it recently joined Avon’s Kiss Goodbye to Breast Cancer (KGBC) Let’s Walk the Talk Tour.

Around 200 Globe employees and vendors took part in the walk and run event to raise funds for the Philippine Cancer Society.

Avon launched the multifaceted awareness and fundraising initiative dubbed KGBC in the Philippines in 2002 and fundraising efforts since then have allowed Avon to establish and maintain the Philippine General Hospital—Avon Breast Care Center and support selected provincial hospitals.

KGBC celebrated its 20th year with the Let’s Walk the Talk Tour, raising awareness by visiting key cities and providing free breast examination and breast cancer education to women.
