Ateneo, La Salle score

MANILA—La Salle-Zobel blasted Ateneo-B, 49-21, at the start of the Milo-sponsored Best Center SBP-Passerelle twin basketball tournaments Sunday at the Fr. Cortina gym of Xavier School.

The Zobel cagers now share the early lead with La Salle Greenhills-A, which demolished Lourdes School-QC, 70-21, in Group D of SBP.

Ateneo-A made up for its sister team’s loss by clobbering La Salle-B, 66-15, for the Group A lead with San Beda College, which scuttled Letran, 69-12.

In Group B it was Marist-B over San Sebastian College, 33-30; and Xavier A over University of the East, 47-30.
