MANILA, Philippines – There’s no better scenario in sports than two teams going at it in a Game 7 with the championship at stake.
And Rain or Shine’s Paul Lee thinks their Finals series against Talk ‘N Text would go down to a deciding seventh game.
“It will be a physical game, aabot siguro ng Game 7,” said Lee.
As far as head coach Yeng Guiao is concerned, Rain or Shine’s chances of winning goes up as the series grows weary.
“The longer the series, the better for us. We just want to hang around, every game if we’re in the game the last two minutes, we have a chance,” said Guiao, who’s seeking his first all-Filipino title and seventh PBA title overall, starts Wednesday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
Norman Black, shooting for his 10th PBA plum, on the other hand, kept it simple.
“I don’t care how the series goes as long as we win four games. The reason why we’re here is we’re well-balanced. If it goes seven, it goes seven, if it goes four it goes four.”
