MANILA, Philippines—Visiting San Miguel defeated defending champion Indonesia, 64-53, in the 4th Asean Basketball League (ABL) season opener Friday night in Jakarta.

Import Brian Williams led the Beermen, who lost to the Warriors in the finals last year, with 15 points and 19 rebounds while guard Fil-Italian Chris Banchero chipped in 14 points.
