THE COUNTRY’S finest cocker-breeders and their counterparts from the United States engage each other in the highly anticipated World Championship Derby of the National Cockers Alliance (NCA) which gets going on Tuesday at Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City.
The three-day derby, highlight of the NCA sports calendar, has been described by top American breeders Dan Grey and Roger Roberts as the toughest and most grueling in the world because of the quality of entries.
The NCA said entries must come from the same owner or farm and these are entered under the same name (limited to four entries).
A news conference will formally launch the NCA World Championship Derby at 12 noon today at Summer Palace at Edsa Shangri-la.
Meanwhile, “Lucky Money JV” of Rene Medina and “Firefly 13” of Ernie Austria finished 1-2 with 5 and 4.5 points, respectively, in NCA’s Sagupaan Complexor-sponsored derby last Jan. 8 hosted by Rene Medina and Bebot Uy.
