DLSU boosts title-retention bid in tennis
LA SALLE stayed on track in its title-retention bid in men’s tennis while University of Santo Tomas upset defending baseball champion National in UAAP games over the weekend.
The Green Archers picked up back-to-back wins at the start of men’s tennis, downing Ateneo, 4-1, and University of the East also with the same score at Rizal Memorial Tennis Center.
National U, last season’s runner-up, nosed out UST, 3-2.
Article continues after this advertisementThe Tigers got back at the Bulldogs in baseball, rallying from two runs down to win, 7-5, at Rizal Memorial Baseball Stadium.
UST stayed unbeaten in three games along with Ateneo, which routed University of the Philippines, 14-6, in the other match. The Bulldogs slipped to third at 2-1.
In women’s volleyball, UST, Adamson and National U wound up in a three-way tie at 4-3 behind co-leaders Ateneo and La Salle (6-1).
