MANILA, Philippines – Don’t expect defending champion Talk ‘N Text to take things lightly even with a third straight PBA Philippine Cup title within its reach.

In fact, the Tropang Texters, won’t have any days off, perhaps not until they close Rain or Shine out.

“No we won’t be taking a rest tomorrow. We’ll have practice tomorrow, we’ll have practice on Tuesday and we’ll come back ready to play on Wednesday,” said TNT head coach Norman Black.

“I guarantee you, we won’t do much in practice tomorrow but we will be together in practice tomorrow,” he added.

Despite having an insurmountable 3-0 lead, Black and his team certainly have no plans of holding back.

“I think it’s just important to keep the guys focused on the task at hand. What we’re trying to accomplish is not very easy, it’s quite difficult and at this point, we don’t want to give Rain or Shine any breathing room that’s why we’d really go for it on Wednesday,” Black, who’s is now a win away from his 10th PBA title, said.

Black also reiterated the importance of keeping his players’ conditioning and health in check.

“The focus right now is to get it done on Wednesday and that’s really going to be my job between now and Wednesday to convince my players to stay focused, stay  energized and try to come out and take the victory on Wednesday,” he said.

“At the same time, I think the major key and I’ve been saying this the whole series is we really have to a good job of pacing our players, keeping them fresh, keeping them healthy.”

“Luckily for us we got out of this game with no injury because it’s matter of between now and Wednesday just making sure that when they show up on Wednesday they have their legs, they’re fresh and they’re ready to go,”  he added.
