MANILA, Philippines—Rain or Shine head coach Yeng Guiao has no intentions of deviating from his game plan come Game 4.
What has to change for ROS is its woeful shooting if it wants to avoid the embarrassment of getting swept and extend the series.
“We’ll just try to delay their party or their celebration. Wednesday I don’t think we’ll change too many things in terms of our game plan,” said Guiao.
“We’re just not really making our shots, mababa ang percentage. We’re getting good looks, Paul (Lee), Jeff (Chan), Gabe (Norwood), our guards are not really hitting the mark,” he added.
Lee, Chan and Norwood combined for just 15 points on a horrific five-of-17 shooting from the field, missing all of their seven attempts from long-range.
As a team, the Elasto Painters shot 35.9 percent from the field, four-of-22 from downtown, the same number of threes they made in Game 1.
“Even yung mga bigs namin are not making their three but despite that I really felt that we had the chance to win this game.”
