FEATURED STORIES

Garvo Lanete stood out with his torrid shooting that lifted San Beda past bitter rival Letran and extended the Lions’ winning streak to four games in the 86th NCAA men’s basketball tournament.

Hardly showing any rust coming from a two-week break, Lanete drained 22 points, including three triples to power a 77-60 rout of the Knights last Wednesday.

San Beda seized double-digit leads early, before the Knights threatened late in the third quarter by trimming the Lions’ lead to 10.

That’s when Lanete stepped up the plate, pouring eight points in a telling 14-0 run that sealed the outcome early.
