‘Short Knife’ derby up

The first World Short Knife Championship 6-Cock Derby of the National Federation of Gamefowl Breeders (NFGB), gets going today at Arcontica Coliseum in Cavite.

More than 90 matches are scheduled in the event, said Gengen Arayata, president of the Unified Cavite Breeders Association.

The short knife competition was first developed in Mexico in the 1960s.

NFGB is also gearing up for the Bullang Bullang National 9–Bullstag Derby with 36 elimination rounds nationwide.

The grand finals is on Feb. 25 at Roligon Mega Cockpit.
