Second coaching job for Garcia in a week’s time
CALOY Garcia got a second coaching job in just a span of one week as Erase Xfoliant tapped him to handle the Erasers late in the elimination round of the PBA D-League Aspirants Cup.
Garcia, who signed a two-year deal yesterday to coach the Letran Knights in the NCAA starting next season, took over the post left by Aric del Rosario.
“We have two games left and we hope we’d still be able to win those games,” Erase team manager Louie Gamboa said in a statement yesterday.

Garcia’s immediate goal with Letran is to convince star guard Kevin Alas to return. Alas remains unsure of playing for the Knights, citing a myriad commitments including the Smart Gilas cadet program.
