Dagupan City next stop of Jr. NBA 2013

MANILA, Philippines — Dagupan City is the next stop of the Jr. NBA Philippines 2013, in the program’s first trip to the province this weekend.

Young players and aspiring coaches up North will get a chance to undergo a unique NBA experience with a Coaches Clinic scheduled for 9-5 p.m. on January 26, and Schools Clinic from 9-11 a.m. and 2-4 p.m. the next day at The Stadia Convention Center.

Coaches from the Alaska Aces, led by Jojo Lastimosa, and NBA Asia’s director for basketball operations Sefu Bernard oversee the camp, which made its stop in Lucena City in Quezon last week and is scheduled to visit Davao City.

Registration for both the clinics can be made online on the Jr. NBA website or at the venue before the start of the clinics.

The Regional Selection camps, open to kids between 10 to 14 years old, is set in March and April and  culminates in the National Training Camp in Manila from April 26-28.

The Top 10 players, along with the Coach of the Year, are selected at the end of the camp and are given an all-expense paid trip to an NBA event and a chance to play against another country’s Jr. NBA team.
