WHO will win four first?

This will be the interesting sidelight when top guns Angelo Que and Juvic Pagunsan headline the exclusive field in the P5-million The Country Club Invitational which fires off Feb. 7 at the exclusive, windswept layout in Sta. Rosa, Laguna.

Que and Pagunsan each has three victories in the lucrative, all-Filipino event, with Pagunsan seeking to win a second straight time after denying Que a grand slam last year.

Pagunsan, the Asian Tour’s Rookie of the Year in 2007 and Order of Merit winner two years ago, won by four strokes over Elmer Salvador last year when Que finished fourth.

Que won in 2010 and 2011 but was preoccupied with fatherhood last year.

But it won’t be a two-man party, with the hot Antonio Lascuña also in the field.

Lascuña, 44, won the ICTSI’s Order of Merit last year while finishing 12th on the Asian Tour, the highest finish by a Filipino. He started the year with a victory in the Sabah Masters.

Frankie Miñoza, Cassius Casas, Artemio Murakami and Gerald Rosales, all former PH Open winners, are also vying.
