NU shoots for first girls’ title, UE for 12th boys’ title

MANILA, Philippines—National University shoots for history even as University of the East hopes to continue its reign Wednesday in the UAAP Season 75 high school volleyball championship at the UE Caloocan gym.

The NU girls’ team face defending champion La Salle-Zobel in the opener at 9 a.m. before the Junior Warriors and Bullpups clash at 10:30 a.m.

NU hopes to put an end to La Salle-Zobel’s two-year reign in the girls’ division.

UE owns a twice-to-beat advantage after completing a 10-game sweep in the elimination round.

The Junior Warriors are gunning for a record 12th boys’ division title.
