MANILA, Philippines—Big Chill guard Terrence Romeo is expected to miss two to three weeks due to a hairline fracture in his right hand.
Romeo suffered the injury against Informatics, where the Superchargers absorbed a surprising 87-94 setback.
Big Chill head coach Robert Sison said Romeo will be re-evaluated Monday.
“The doctor said about two to three weeks but he will have another x-ray this week and I’m hoping it will be just a week,” said Sison.
“It’s very crucial for us without Terrence but no excuse. The team has to respond and step up. Malaking bagay na wala sa amin si Terrence but my players know their responsibilities and I think they responded well today,” said Sison, following Big Chill’s 76-71 win over Café France to end a two-game setback Tuesday.
Ryan Buenafe and Mar Villahermosa scored 14 points each to fill the void left by Romeo.
