Alonte stuns favorites, tabs first career win

Kenneth Alonte stunned his more experienced rivals to bag his first career win in the recent Petronas Philippine Drag Racing Championship Northern Series at Clark International Speedway

The RSL Motorsports racer consistently posted fast times to upset his favored foes, including defending Expert champion Arvin Jay Millet and cousin Jannery Millet, and capture the Yokohama Expert plum.

Alonte clocked 13.784 en route to the title, relegating Jannery to a runner-up finish.

Tyron Sason and Arvin Jay settled for third and fourth spots, respectively.

Sharing the limelight are Carl Reyes, who topped the Sportsman class, and Terenz Horminosa, who ruled the GT Radial Hotstreet class.
