Gabe Freeman led with 21 points and nine rebounds, Brian Williams added 18 points, then guard Chris Banchero added 14 points for San Miguel, which imrpvoed to 2-1.

PBA veteran Asi Taulava also had 14 points and pulled down nine rebounds while reigning MVP Leo Avenido and RJ Rizada added 10 points each.

The Heat, meanwhile, dropped their second assignment for a 3-2 record as their imports Dior Lowhorn and David Palmer hardly had help this time.

Lowhorn wound up with a game best 29 points, Palmer added 18 points and 12 rebounds but no other player from Saigon scored in double digits.
