Adamson stuns FEU, NU blanks UP in UAAP men’s volleyball

MANILA, Philippines — Adamson pinned another loss on defending titlist Far Eastern University on Sunday morning, 20-25, 25-21, 25-20, 20-25, 15-12, in the UAAP season 75 men’s volleyball tournament at the Arena in San Juan.

Ronjay Galang and Armando Maleon teamed up for the Falcons, who tightened their hold of the third spot with an 8-5 card, as they combined for 41 points to topple the Tamaraws down.

Karl Ian Dela Calzada had 20 points for FEU, which recovered from a first set loss to take a 2-1 lead but could not sustain the energy to finish the job.
The Tamaraws, though, remained in second place with a 10-2 slate despite the setback.

Meanwhile, National University posted a contrasting 27-25, 25-18, 25-22 victory over also-ran University of the Philippines in the first game.

The league pacing Bulldogs cruised to their 12th victory of the season as Peter Den Man Torres dropped 15 points and Rueben Inaudito registered 12.
