MANILA, Philippines — It took time, but nonetheless, National University got the job done en route to the UAAP season 75 men’s volleyball finals.
Top ranked NU needed four sets set to oust Adamson, 25-22, 22-25, 25-19, 25-20, on Saturday morning in the first volleyball tournament event at the Smart Araneta Coliseum, in Cubao, in more than a decade.
The Bulldogs had their superior blocking, leading to 15 points, carry them to the win despite a poor performance from the service line, scoring just two compared to the Falcons’ eight.
The gruelling match that lasted for almost two hours.
Peter Torres led NU with 17 points, while Reyson Fuentes accounted for five points off blocks for a total of 13, while Reuben Inaudito added 11.
