MANILA—Carlos Anton stamped his class over a field of more than 50 drivers to rule the Circuit Showdown event at the Clark International Speedway recently.
Anton topped the Time Attack event with a time of 1:07.1 to top the Bracket-A event and take home the Best Time of the Day award.
He also ran an Emperor-prepared Nissan Skyline GTR 35 and clocked an impressive 1:08.2 second run.
“Taking home first and a third place in one division was fantastic,” Anton said.
Team owner Mark Young was pleased with the team’s victory and credited their preparation for the results.
Anton dedicated his win to his late father-in-law, Salvador Navarrete, who passed away last May.
Anton’s team is backed by Mark Young, Yokohama, Castrol Edge, Hornitex and Emperor Motorsports.
