DAVIS Cuppers Johnny Arcilla and Elbert Anasta will banner the men’s singles field, while PH national team players Marian Jade Capadocia and sisters Christine and Clarice Patrimonio when the third Olivarez Cup starts Monday at Olivarez Sports Center.
Anasta is the defending champion in the event and he will have his hands full against Arcilla, Fil-Italian Marc Reyes, Rolando Ruel Jr., Ronard Joven, Pablo Olivarez II and Jeson Patrombon.
Marinel Rudas, newly minted UAAP rookie of the year of champion team La Salle, will also join the fray in the women’s singles action.
Meanwhile, top seeds Eric Jed Olivarez and Roxanne Resma will defend their respective 16-under titles when the age-group division starts today.
Olivarez will battle Mariano Besas at 11 a.m., while Resma will tackle Chole Mae Saraza at 2 p.m.
Second seed Stefan Suarez faces Abdullah Madcasim, No. 3 Marcen Gonzales squares off with Li-Yang Thean and fourth seed Dave Mosqueda slugs it out with Joseph Cano in other featured matches in the boys division.
