Lang, Castillo, Diaz dominate BMX Urban Extreme challenge

FLASHING superb skills, James Lang, Jon Castillo and Paul Diaz captured the titles in the Urban Extreme Sports Challenge of the Red Horse Beer Pambansang Muziklaban grand finals in Pasay City recently.

Executing his routine with precision, Lang prevailed over six other riders in the finals of the BMX half pipe class while Castillo and Diaz annexed the mountain bike box jump and the BMX box jump, respectively.

The trio impressed the judges, who determined scores based on style, consistency, tricks and the degree of difficulty of tricks.

On his way to the title, Lang bettered the scores of Hanry Chan, Dan Lopez, Paul Diaz, Johnty Claraval, Eboy Farr and Taj Trinidad. Castillo took home the title at the expense of Farr, Trinidad, Max Galsim, and Ej Serabia.

Diaz prevented Lang from pulling off a rare double by topping the box jump. Diaz also outshone Noli Baga, Mike Oliveros, Daboi Pineda and Dairella Elias.

Meanwhile, Music Theory bagged the P500,000 grand cash prize and a recording contract at the Red Horse Beer Pambansang Muziklaban 2012 finals. The band is composed of Cholo Pabalan, JC Santos, Lorce Manaois and John Jo Presingular.  Cedelf P. Tupas
