MANILA, Philippines – De La Salle, the deepest team in the league, wound up with two MVPs in the UAAP Season 75 women’s volleyball tournament.
The Lady Spikers’ Ara Galang and Abigail Maraño were named as the co-MVPs after leading their team to a league-best 13-1 record in the elimination round.
Maraño, who was also named as the best blocker, bagged her second straight MVP plum.
Ateneo’s Alyssa Valdez was named as the best scorer while National University’s Myla Pablo and Aiko Urdas were named as the best attacker and Rookie of the Year, respectively.
Valdez’ teammate, Jem Ferrer, bagged the best setter award.
Jennylyn Reyes also of the Lady Bulldogs, who ended their quest for a Final Four berth, was named as the best receiver and best digger.
Adamson’s Sheila Marie Pineda was recognized as the league’s best server.
