MANILA, Philippines — National University nabbed its first ever UAAP men’s volleyball title, dethroning Far Eastern University, 26-24, 25-22, 23-25, 25-19, in game three of the season 75 finals on Saturday at the Arena in San Juan.
Peter Torres put the period on the championship series by converting on a powerful, match-clinching attack — a fitting finish to a performance worthy of the finals MVP award.
The high-leaping Torres dished out 15 points (13 on hits), while Jan Berlin Paglinawan paced NU in points with 16.
