RUFO Sanchez, Lee Joo-young and Ruben Doctora scored for the second straight match as Stallion Sta. Lucia reclaimed the United Football League lead with a 3-1 win over Pachanga Diliman last night at Emperador Stadium.
In another superb attacking display, Sanchez sealed the outcome with an 82nd-minute strike and also set up Lee’s opening goal. Doctora doubled the lead six minutes before halftime.
Jason Cunliffe pulled a goal back in the 70th minute, but Sanchez’s seventh goal of the season restored the two goal edge.
The win was Stallion’s sixth straight to start the season, while newly promoted Pachanga absorbed its third consecutive loss.
Meanwhile, Army defender Rodrigo Betita faces a minimum of a six-month ban for kicking linesman Ronaldo Yurag in last Tuesday’s match against Kaya. CP Tupas
