MANILA, Philippines – After getting blown out in its debut, newcomer Hog’s Breath bounced back as it pulled the rug from under Big Chill 69-63 Tuesday in the PBA D-League Foundation Cup at the FilOil Flying V Arena in San Juan.

Kevin Racal unleashed 16 of his game-high 21 points in the second half including four free throws that put the Razorbacks back in front and for good 66-63 with 32.5 seconds remaining.

“Expected namin yan na makakabalik kami (It’s expected we can make a comeback). Ang importante na-limit namin ang errors (It’s important we were able to limit the errors),” said Hog’s Breath head coach Joel Jabar.

Jonathan Belorio added 13 points and 11 rebounds for the Razorbacks, who lost 55-81 to Jumbo Plastic last Thursday.

Mac Montilla paced the Superchargers, who went scoreless after Janus Lozada’s free throws at the 3:31 mark of the fourth quarter, with 16 points but missed a three-pointer that would have tied the match with under 40 ticks left.

Mar Villahermosa and Lozada also missed from deep as Belorio iced the game with two free throws.

Big Chill, which got out-rebounded 38-54 hardly played like the team that beat the four-time defending champion NLEX 86-77 in overtime last week.
