Pachanga outclasses Air Force
ROBERT Canedo recorded his first top-flight hat trick as Pachanga Diliman whipped a hapless Air Force side, 5-1, Thursday night for only its third win in the United Football League at Emperador Stadium in Taguig.
The midfielder from San Carlos City delivered a late barrage, scoring three goals in just seven minutes as Pachanga, playing with only 10 men for most of the game, nailed its first victory in the last four matches.
Osseynou Diop opened the scoring for Pachanga at the hour-mark, before Ian Araneta equalized three minutes later with a low shot past Kim Versales.
Article continues after this advertisementCanedo also assisted on Alireza Jamali’s 57th minute strike that made it 2-1. The Airmen, the league and Cup champions in 2011, remained winless in seven matches.
Pachanga increased its tally to nine points, level with Kaya, which conceded a late equalizer to PSG and settled for a 2-2 stalemate in the second match.
The league takes a break starting next week due to the AFC Challenge Cup Group E Qualifying, where the Philippines is participating, and the Holy Week.
