‘Greatness never ends’ for UAAP 76 host Adamson

MANILA, Philippines — Adamson University officially accepted the hosting rights for the UAAP season 76 on Saturday.

Fr. Max Rendon C.M., who will take on the task as the UAAP president, admits that being the host university “is an honor and, at the same time, a challenge.”

With National University as host, it marked the first time that UAAP basketball and volleyball games were played at the Mall of Asia Arena.

This season also saw a new overall champion in La Salle, breaking University of Santo Tomas 14-season streak.

“Through these years we have all witnessed how UAAP has grown tremendously in the field of training and development of athletes,” said Rendon in a speech at the UAAP closing ceremonies at the SM North Skydome.

“I want to congratulate the different host universities for your efforts in making UAAP maintain its status as one of the most prestigious leagues in amateur sports today.”

Adamson has also chosen the theme “Greatness never ends” as the theme for the next season. The most recent themes were “Unbreakable” (Season 75), “All Out, All Heart” (season 74).

“We hope that every acitivity that we do, we lead the UAAP reams to greater heights,” Rendon finished.
