Boracay eyes 3rd win vs B. Chill today

BORACAY Rum tries to sustain its strong start in the PBA D-League Foundation Cup when it tackles Big Chill today at Filoil Flying V Arena in San Juan.

The Waves are gunning for a third straight win at 2 p.m. against a Big Chill side that got waylaid by newcomer Hog’s Breath after stunning four-time champion NLEX in its debut.

“We just have to try to play our best basketball and do the things that work for us,” said Boracay Rum coach Lawrence Chongson.

Cagayan Valley, last conference’s runner-up, shoots for its first win against Informatics at 12 noon, while Café France aims for back-to-back win versus newcomer Jumbo Plastic at 4 p.m.

The Waves absorbed a narrow loss to Cebuana Lhuillier (66-68) in their opener, but quickly rebounded with wins versus Informatics (93-85,OT) and Jumbo Plastic (87-67).

Both Cagayan and Informatics will try to recover from heartbreaking overtime setbacks.
