COMING off one-sided wins, Big Chill and Café France clash for a piece of second spot at the resumption of the PBA D-League Foundation Cup today.
The Superchargers and the Bakers, tied for third at 2-1, collide in the first of a three-game bill at 12 noon at Filoil Flying V Arena.
“My worry is that my players might not be in the right focus coming off the Holy Week break,” said Café France coach Egay Macaraya.
Cagayan Valley, last conference’s runner-up, vies for a second win against newcomer Jumbo Plastic at 4 p.m. while Boracay Rum tests another new squad in EA Regen Med at 2 p.m.
Last Monday, the Bakers overwhelmed Jumbo Plastic, 92-69, as Mike Silungan led six Café France players in double figures with 18 points.
The Superchargers also found a surprise performer in Janus Lozada, who sizzled from three-point range for 18 markers, in their 82-60 drubbing of Boracay Rum.
Meanwhile, the league and Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas kick off the search for the Philippine representative to the Fiba Asia 3-on-3 tournament set May 15 and 16 in Doha. All 12 teams will field players, who will be divided into groups, in the 3-on-3 side event.
