BACK at full strength, Global seeks to extend its lead at the top of the United Football League when it clashes with Loyola Meralco at Emperador Stadium in Taguig.
Fresh from a 10-day break, the two unbeaten squads collide at 7:30 p.m. in the biggest, most important match of the season so far.
Having picked up four points from its last two matches, Pasargad tries to continue its solid run against Army in the 5:15 p.m. match.
Army nailed its first win at the expense of Air Force, 3-0, just before the international break. Pasargad scored a victory over Green Archers, followed up by a fighting draw against Kaya.
Global, the reigning league champion, has won all its seven matches so far this season, the most recent a 1-0 conquest of erstwhile co-leader Stallion.
“We expect another tough battle,” said coach Brian Reid. “We’ve got a full-strength squad, so we’re hoping to perform properly and get the points.”
After missing the Stallion match due to national team duties, Carli de Murga, Patrick Reichelt, Marwin Angeles, Misagh Bahadoran and Jason de Jong return to the Global side.
