MANILA, Philippines – Jimbo Aquino scored 19 points to lead EA Regen over Cebuana Lhuillier 73-69 Monday in the PBA D-League Foundation Cup at the FilOil Flying V Arena in San Juan.
Aquino, a first round pick by Barangay Ginebra in the 2010 PBA Draft, shot nine points in the first quarter alone to help the Delta jump to a strong start.
EA Regen’s formidable frontline of Raymond Almazan and Ian Sangalang combined for 25 points, 20 rebounds and five blocks.
The Delta chalked up their second straight win after beating Cagayan Valley 103-92 last Thursday to improve to 3-2 while the Gems slipped to 4-3.
Alvin Padilla paced Cebuana Lhuillier with 15 points while June Dizon contributed nine points and 16 rebounds.
