MANILA—Filipino-American coach Erik Spoelstra, who guided the Miami Heat to the NBA Finals last season, and his NBA Fit team will grace the opening of the Third Inter-Scholastic Athletic Association Tuesday at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.

Spoelstra, who is here to lead an NBA-style basketball camp for the Energen-Pilipinas national youth team under head coach Olsen Racela and conduct coaching clinics and training programs for Filipino basketball kids, will give a short but inspirational message to members and officials of the ISAA headed by lawyer Jose Yayen of the La Consolacion College.

“The ISAA is honored to have coach Spoelstra as its guest of honor,” said Yayen. “ISAA will gain a lot from coach Spoelstra’s experience and wisdom.”
