V-League: Balse, Baustista lead Arellano over Perpetual Help

MANILA, Philippines—Guest players Mary Jean Balse and Nene Bautista powered Arellano University past University of Perpetual Help, 25-18, 25-19, 25-27, 26-24, Tuesday in the Shakey’s V-League Season 10 First Conference at the FilOil Flying V Arena in San Juan.

Balse and Bautista pumped in 19 points apiece to lead the Lady Chiefs to their second win.

Arellano, which survived provincial team University of San Carlos in a grueling five-setter in its previous game, also got 13 points from Elaine Sagun.

Joy Cases scored 14 while April Sartin and Honey Royse Tubino had 12 points each for the reigning NCAA champions Lady Altas.
