Stallion nips Archers, regains UFL lead
STALLION overcame a gritty Green Archers side, 4-3, even as beleaguered Air Force finally scored a breakthrough win Thursday night in the United Football League at Emperador Stadium in Taguig.
With top scorer Rufo Sanchez shackled, four of his teammates were on target for Stallion, which reclaimed top spot with its ninth win.
Joaco Canas, Kim Hyo-il, Nathan Alquiros and Diego Barrera scored as Stallion hung on despite conceding twice in the last eight minutes.

The longtime national team striker opened the scoring from the penalty spot five minutes into the match, before wrapping up the win with another goal in stoppage time.
It was Air Force’s first win in 10 matches this season, while Nomads absorbed a fourth straight defeat.
