Diop powers Pachanga eleven past Pasargad

A HAT-TRICK from Senegalese striker Osseynou Diop propelled Pachanga-Diliman to a 3-2 triumph over Pasargad Saturday night in the United Football League at Emperador Stadium in Taguig City.

Diop, returning from a groin injury, scored three times inside the first 28 minutes as Pachanga-Diliman raised its tally to 19 points and moved ahead of Kaya at fourth spot.

PSG pulled a goal back through Emmanuel Mbata just before halftime, before Promise Joolomi set the stage for a thrilling finish with a stoppage-time goal in the second half.

But Pachanga hung tough as last year’s second division champion continued to make its presence felt in the top flight with another workmanlike performance.

With Kaya stumbling to three straight draws, Pachanga has seized the advantage by gaining maximum points for the first time in three matches in the second round.

Unable to pick up momentum from its strong performance late in the first round, PSG suffered its third straight loss, but remained in seventh place with 11 points.
