Volcanoes brace for WC
Refusing to back down despite a recent defeat, the Philippine Volcanoes brace themselves for rugby’s biggest stage, the 2013 Rugby World Cup Sevens in Moscow next month.
And Michael Letts vowed to take Philippine rugby to higher level.
“This is something we carry with honor and pride, to represent the Philippines and promote the sport,” Letts said.
Article continues after this advertisementSupporting the team is sports apparel brand Fila, which committed itself to backing the PH team in its maiden stint in the Worlds.
Fila Philippines chief executive officer Cris Albert yesterday confirmed their partnership with the Volcanoes in a press conference.
This year’s World Cup is the last edition as rugby will be included in the Olympics starting in 2016 in Rio de Janeiro.
