Tamaraws snap Chiefs’ unbeaten Filoil streak; Blazers score
Far Eastern University’s veterans stayed steady in the clutch as the Tamaraws stopped the streaking Arellano squad, 81-79, in the Filoil Flying V Hanes Premier Cup yesterday at Filoil Flying V Arena.
Mike Tolomia buried 18 points, including a triple that tied the game at 76, while RR Garcia and Gryann Mendoza also came through as the Tamaraws handed the Chiefs their first loss in five games.
“In the last few minutes, what we only thought of was how to win as a unit,” said coach Nash Racela after his Tamaraws improved to 2-2.
