Archers eye No. 4 vs Pirates
LA SALLE’S young crew hopes to put up another bristling show when the Green Archers shoot for a fourth straight victory against the winless Lyceum Pirates today in the Filoil Flying V Hanes Premier Cup at Filoil Flying V Arena in San Juan.
The Green Archers, one of only two unbeaten squads in the tournament, battle the Pirates at 2:30 p.m. with coach Gee Abanilla expecting his boys to sustain their impressive start.
“I like the way they play aggressive on both ends, but it’s about getting better individually and as a team,” said Abanilla, who will rely on Jeron Teng, last season’s UAAP Rookie of the Year, and top recruits Kib Montalbo, Robert Bolick and Jason Perkins.
