La Salle’s Andrada down with ACL tear anew

MANILA, Philippines—Yutien Andrada, La Salle’s lanky forward, is sidelined with another anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) tear.

Andrada went down badly and had to be carried out of the floor by his teammates early in La Salle’s 70-64 win over Lyceum Friday in the 2013 Filoil Flying V Pre-Season Cup.

The Green Archers’ head coach Gee Abanilla confirmed the prognosis of Andrada’s injury in a text message to INQUIRER.net.

“[It’s] not so good. As per MRI, Yutien is positive for ACL [tear],” said Abanilla.

Andrada, who also suffered an ACL tear on his right knee, sat out the majority of the UAAP season 74. Such injury usually takes a minimum of six to eight months to heal.
