Austria tells AdU Falcons: Go all out against Altas

ALTHOUGH Adamson has a quarterfinal slot in the bag, coach Leo Austria doesn’t want his Falcons to go easy in the Filoil Flying V Hanes Premier Cup today.

So expect Jericho Cruz and the rest of the Falcons to still go all out in their bid for a fifth win versus Perpetual Help in the Group A battle at 2:30 p.m. at Filoil Flying V Arena.

“We have to work hard because we’re still struggling,” said Austria. “There was a sense of urgency [in our last game], but that’s not enough.”

Austria gave the team his message before leaving for Bangkok to mentor San Miguel Beer in the Asean Basketball League (ABL) semifinals.

The Falcons (4-2) secured a quarterfinal slot along with Group A teams National U (8-0), Arellano (6-2) and San Beda (5-2).

Also advancing to the next round from Group B are Ateneo (6-1), La Salle (6-1), University of the East (5-2) and University of Santo Tomas (4-3).
