MANILA, Philippines — University of the East center Charles Mammie was slapped with a one-game suspension, while two other UAAP players were given warnings by the league commissioner on Thursday.

In a memo addressed to the Sierra Leone native, UAAP season 76 Commissioner Chito Loyzaga said Mammie’s actions after UE’s 71-78 setback to Adamson on Wednesday merited a sanction.

“We had observed that during the final seconds of the game, you were seen confronting, pushing and kicking ADU player Roider Cabrera from behind with the intention to hurt,” Loyzaga said.

Mammie had earlier been warned for his actions like “extending knee to the groin’’ and “throwing elbow to the head” against National University’s Emmanuel Mbe during a game on July 8.

An offense of a similar nature meant an automatic suspension, which Mammie will serve out in the Warriors game against University of Santo Tomas on Saturday.

Cabrera, meanwhile, was issued a warning on his unsportsmanlike foul against UE’s Llord Casajeros near the Warriors’ bench just after the final buzzer sounded at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Jeff Javillonar was likewise given a warning for his hard push on UST’s Jeric Teng in the second quarter of the Bulldogs’ 71-67 win, causing the Tigers’ guard to miss the entire second half due to an injured shoulder.
