MANILA, Philiippines — Smart Gilas Pilipinas trails Iran, 15-17, at the end of first quarter of their gold medal match in the 27th FIBA Asia men’s Championship Sunday night.

The Filipinos briefly led 10-6 midway the quarter before the Iranians snatched the lead.
