THE NCAA called off its scheduled basketball matches in both the juniors and seniors divisions at Filoil Flying V Arena in San Juan yesterday due to floodings in Metro Manila caused by Tropical Storm “Maring.”

“The games today are cancelled due to floods and continuous rainfall in Metro Manila,” NCAA management committee chair Dax Castellano said in a text message to reporters.

The league has yet to announce when it will reschedule the postponed senior games pitting Lyceum and San Sebastian as well as St. Benilde against Perpetual Help.

Meanwhile, league commissioner Joe Lipa said they will review the postgame incident between players of Arellano and Emilio Aguinaldo College last Saturday. Lipa vowed to crack the whip on players who were involved in the incident that saw the Chiefs and Generals confront each other even after the final buzzer.
