Checkmate clinic set Saturday

The final evaluation for the fourth series of the Checkmate chess clinics will start 8 a.m. on Saturday at San Sebastian College Manila.

At stake are medals and trophies courtesy of clinic sponsor Milo while additional prizes like magnetic sets and chess boards will be provided by organizer Metropolitan Chess Club.

The participants are those who have joined previous sessions in Kinderville Learning Center, Sacred Heart Academy of Novaliches, Capitol Hills Christian School, Walter Mart Sucat, Starmall Las Piñas, Starmall Edsa-Shaw in Mandaluyong and McDonalds at Victory Center Mall in Caloocan.  The next series is slated Aug. 31.
